Adventure Camps

 

Our Adventure Camps are three night camps based at our Outdoor Centre but may include a sleep out on one of the nights. We design them around the age group participating in the camps but they typically include a variety of the following activities:

 

• Bushcraft training including knots, firemaking, orienteering and others.

• Rifle shooting

• Climbing or abseiling

• Night walks

• An adventure race

• Making bread dough and cooking on a fire in the bush

• Archery

• Obstacles

• Dynamic games

• Paintball

Bushcraft Camps

 

Bushcraft Camps are two to four night adventures based on Orange Grove Farm. On these camps, you'll learn a range of skills that will make survival and existence in the great outdoors much more fun. They are available to groups of differing ages. Camping out and problem-solving are integral parts of these camps. Other possible activities include:

• Shelter construction

• Orienteering

• Various paleo-cooking techniques

• Knot-work

• Basic tool usage (knives, axes, saws)

• Foraging

• Wood and rope constructions

• Camp design, layout and no-trace techniques

Trail Runs

 

We host an annual trail run that is part trail, part adventure race, incorporating obstacles and challenges along the way. If you would like us to host an event for you along these lines, please contact us and let us know what you are thinking.

Paintball Days & Camps

 

We host day-long events focused on paintball. We'll train you up in the use of a paintball gun, target shooting, basic drills and of course, some epic missions. These can also be longer overnight events for the real paintball enthusiasts. We do not have a structured paintball course but make use of the rocky and riverine terrains on the farm to encourage creative problem-solving and real-life scenarios.
